Terms of Service

Last updated 9 October 2026Effective 9 October 2026

By downloading or using My Later List, these terms automatically apply to you — so please read them before you use the app.

These terms are an agreement between you and Anjali Vimal, an individual based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India, who publishes My Later List (“the app”, “the service”, “we”, “us”). They cover the app on every platform we offer it, and this website.

1. Using the app

You may use the app for your own personal or business purposes, in line with these terms. You are not allowed to copy or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You are not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you should not try to translate the app into other languages or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all trademarks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, remain ours.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the app. Signing in does not upload your list: on the free plan your own items stay on your device, and they are backed up and synced only with Pro. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@mylaterlist.com if you believe someone else has gained access to it.

It is your responsibility to keep your device and your access to the app secure. We recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone — removing the software restrictions imposed by your operating system can expose it to malware, compromise its security features, and may mean the app does not work properly or at all.

3. Your content

Everything you put into your list stays yours. We claim no ownership over your notes, images, documents, recordings or anything else you capture.

To run the service for you, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, back up, transmit, display and process your content — including sending it to our AI provider to organize it, showing it to people you have chosen to share a label with, and passing it to any AI assistant you connect, within the limits you set when you connect it. This licence exists purely so we can operate the features you are asking for. It ends when you delete the content or your account, save for copies held in backups for a short period, and it does not let us use your content for advertising or to train anyone's AI models.

You are responsible for your content: for having the right to store and share it, and for it being lawful. When you share a label, you are responsible for what you choose to put in front of the people you share it with.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

  • store or share anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to store or share;
  • store or share material that sexually exploits or endangers children;
  • harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, including through a shared label;
  • distribute malware, or attempt to breach, probe or overload our systems;
  • circumvent quotas, entitlements or the limits of your plan;
  • resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.

5. Plans, payment and cancellation

The app offers a free tier and a paid subscription. What each includes is set out on our pricing page. We reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services — but we will never charge you without making it very clear exactly what you are paying for, and we will not start charging for something that was free without telling you first.

  • Billing. Subscriptions are sold and processed by the app store you bought them from — Apple or Google. They take the payment; we never see your card details.
  • Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. The price is charged to the payment method held by that store.
  • Cancelling. You cancel through your Apple or Google account settings, not through us. You keep paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Refunds are handled under the policy of the store you bought from. We cannot issue a refund for a purchase we did not process, though we are happy to help you approach them.
  • Price changes will be notified in advance and will never apply to a period you have already paid for.
  • If your subscription ends, your items are not deleted — they stay on every device that was syncing, and that device keeps working. What stops is syncing between devices, AI, and your ability to update things you had shared. Photos and files exist only on our servers, so you have 30 daysto export them before they are removed. We will tell you before anything goes.

6. Automated organizing

The app uses AI to turn what you capture into a structured item — a title, a date, a label. It gets things wrong sometimes. Titles, dates and reminders it produces are suggestions, and you should check anything that matters. We are not responsible for a missed deadline or a mis-read date; the app is a place to keep things, not an assistant you should rely on unsupervised.

7. Availability and your connection

Certain functions of the app require an active internet connection. The connection can be Wi-Fi or provided by your mobile network, but we cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you do not have access to Wi-Fi and have no data allowance left.

If you use the app outside an area with Wi-Fi, the terms of your agreement with your mobile network provider still apply. You may be charged by them for the cost of data for the duration of the connection, or other third-party charges. In using the app you accept responsibility for any such charges, including roaming charges if you use it outside your home territory without turning data roaming off. If you are not the bill payer for the device, we assume you have the bill payer's permission to use it.

Along the same lines, we cannot always take responsibility for the way you use the app. You need to make sure your device stays charged — if it runs out of battery and you cannot turn it on to use the service, we cannot accept responsibility.

8. Updates and changes to the service

We may update the app from time to time. The requirements for the systems we support may change, and you will need to download updates if you want to keep using it. We do not promise that we will always update the app so that it remains relevant to you or works with the version of the operating system you have installed.

We may also decide to stop providing the app. If we discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your content first. On termination, the rights and licences granted to you under these terms end, and you must stop using the app and, if needed, delete it from your device.

9. Ending it yourself

You can stop using the app at any time, and you can delete your account and its content from within the app. See deleting your account for what that removes and what is kept.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will never lose data.

Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. While we endeavour to ensure the app is updated and correct at all times, we rely in part on third parties to provide services to us, and we accept no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, that you experience as a result of relying wholly on the app.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep the statutory rights the law where you live gives you, and nothing here overrides them.

11. Third-party services

The app uses third-party services that declare their own terms and conditions, including Google Firebase and its AI services, Google Play services, and Apple's app and sign-in services. Which services we use, and what each receives, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

AI assistants you connect (such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini) are third-party services you choose and use under their own terms. What you let them read from your list is handled by them, not us. Changes they make to your list are made on your behalf, within the permissions you gave when connecting, and you are responsible for what you ask them to do. We are not responsible for what an assistant says or does, and you can disconnect one at any time in the app.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute — except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim locally, in which case that right stands.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top, and we will tell you in the app before material changes take effect. You are advised to review this page periodically. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.
